Thanks to Forte Power Systems, two recycling bins are now located in Heflin. One bin has been placed in front of the fence at the Street Department on Highway 46. The other bin is located in the parking lot of the city park on Evans Street. The bins can be used for plastic bottles, aluminum cans and clean paper which includes catalogs. A box is also available in the lobby of Heflin City Hall for rechargeable batteries and used print cartridges.
