Bio

City Clerk Terri Cheatwood Daulton was born and raised in Cleburne County. 

She graduated from Cleburne County High and Jacksonville State University with a Bachelors of Arts degree with major studies in Communication, English and a minor in Spanish.

Daulton worked in the field of broadcast journalism for 8 years, working first at the old TV 40 in Anniston and then at WRCB Channel 3 in Chattanooga, TN. It was there she met her husband Quint Daulton. Together, they have many four-legged children of the dog and feline variety.

From 2000 to 2004, Terri helped her parents computerize the family hardwood flooring business. At that time, she became involved with the Cleburne County Chamber of Commerce, and served as secretary and president.

From 2004 to the present, Daulton has served as city clerk and is the local coordinator for the City in the Alabama Community of Excellence program. In 2007, she was chosen as the coordinator of the year. Daulton is also a certified municipal clerk through continuing education and is district director for District IV for the Alabama Association of Municipal Clerks.
